Everything on this website — including articles, calculators, the Tax Health Check and the chat assistant — is general information. It does not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account, and it is not tax advice, financial product advice or credit advice. You should not act on it without getting advice that considers your own circumstances.
3. Calculators and tools
The calculators produce estimates using standard assumptions and the rates stated on the page. Rates, thresholds and caps change, and your actual position will differ. The Tax Health Check applies simple rules to your answers to suggest areas worth discussing; it is not a review of your affairs and it does not establish any entitlement. Always verify current rates with the ATO and confirm your position with us before acting.
4. The chat assistant
The chat assistant is an automated tool that uses artificial intelligence. It can be wrong. It does not give personal advice, it is not a substitute for speaking to an accountant, and nothing it says creates a professional relationship or an engagement. Do not enter your tax file number or other sensitive identifiers into it.
5. No engagement until agreed in writing
Submitting a form, using a tool or speaking with us does not create a client relationship. We act for you only once an engagement letter has been issued and accepted, and that letter governs the services, fees and responsibilities of each party.
6. Third-party links
This site links to third-party websites, including the ATO. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
7. Intellectual property
The content, design and code of this site are owned by us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not reproduce or republish them commercially without our written permission.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on the general information it contains.
